The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office reported that Christian Ramirez, who went missing on Thursday while playing in a lake, was found alive and well on Friday morning.
He had reportedly spent about 24 hours in the woods. The search and rescue team from the Tulare County was able to find him about a quarter of a mile away from the location where he disappeared.
According to reports, Christian was found under a tree. According to the sheriff’s office, they were very lucky that he was able to call back when they were looking for him.
He was reportedly hungry and tired when he was found, but he was in good condition.
After being reunited with his family, the sheriff’s office stated that there were many factors that could have gone wrong during the incident.
According to KABC, the boy was found in a wooded area. It was clear that the child had been lost, and he had reportedly spent the night in the woods.
According to KFSN, the boy, who is about three feet tall, was able to walk around the area wearing only shorts and a t-shirt.
According to the deputy, there were various risks that people could encounter in the area, such as bears and snakes.
The boy’s family reported him missing on Thursday morning while they were staying at the Rancheria campground in Huntington Lake.
According to Pursell, the child disappeared in about five minutes.
The search and rescue teams, as well as various other agencies, were dispatched to the area in search of Christian.
More than 70 rescuers, including helicopters and dogs, were involved in the search.
