The 54-year-old was found unresponsive in his swimming pool at his home in Pacific Palisades on October 28, 2023.

The LA County medical examiner ruled that he died due to an overdose of ketamine, a drug commonly used for treating anxiety.

According to sources, one individual was apprehended in Southern California on Thursday morning.

A grand jury is expected to issue an indictment against the individuals and the others later in the afternoon.

Perry’s stepfather, Keith Morrison, released a statement on behalf of the actor’s family, saying that they were glad to hear about the law enforcement actions.

In a statement, Perry’s family said they were still devastated by his death, but they were glad to see that law enforcement was taking the case seriously.

In May, the LA police revealed that they were working with the DEA to investigate the source of ketamine, which was the drug that the actor consumed.

For decades, people have been experimenting with the use of ketamine, which is a popular drug for treating depression.

Due to its potential to treat various mental health conditions, many clinics have started offering it as an injection or infusion.

Perry had been taking ketamine for several months to treat his anxiety and depression. His last session was reportedly completed over a week before he died.

According to the medical examiner, the high levels of ketamine in Perry’s body could not have been caused by his recent infusion therapy.

The levels were so high that they were equivalent to the amount of general anesthesia that was used during a surgery. The coroner ruled his death as an accident.

The other contributing factors that contributed to the death of the actor include drowning and coronary artery disease.

In his book “Friends,” Perry talked about his years of battle with alcoholism and opioid addiction. He had been clean for over a year prior to his death.

The medical examiner’s report also noted that he had been using buprenorphine to treat his depression.

Law enforcers are not uncommon when it comes to investigating the sources of drugs that caused high-profile deaths.

In 2009, Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor who was working with Michael Jackson when he died, was found guilty of providing the pop star with a fatal dose of drugs.

In New York, federal prosecutors recently charged four individuals with supplying Michael Williams with the drugs that caused his death in 2021.

The individuals provided the actor with fentanyl-laced heroin.
