On October 2, 2023, law enforcers were called to the Nuestro Elementary School after she arrived.

Upon arrival, the officers found that Munson was acting strangely.

According to a report by KCRA, video footage showed that the teacher drove to the school that morning. She also failed a field sobriety assessment.

Munson was initially arrested on suspicion of child endangering and driving under the influence.

However, it seems that there wasn’t enough evidence to charge her. According to the LA Times, her blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit.

In California, a person is considered intoxicated if their blood-alcohol level is at least 0.08%.

Munson was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when she taught, but the investigators were not able to determine when she started drinking.

She didn’t appear intoxicated when she exited the vehicle.

According to the DA of Sutter County, Jennifer Dupre, the footage of Munson’s car was not enough to prove that she was intoxicated.

She noted that the teacher didn’t appear intoxicated as she drove.

Even though it was difficult to prove that she was intoxicated, it was also hard to charge her with endangering the children.

Dupre referred to the matter as a personnel matter for the school district.

The employment status of Munson is not clear.

The Nuestro Elementary School district’s website doesn’t list her as a teacher.

On its Facebook page, the school is looking for a second-grade instructor.
