The daughter of Meryl Streep, Louisa Jacobson, who stars in HBO’s “The Gilded Age,” came out as gay on Instagram.
In a post that accompanied a story about the rise of lesbian fashion, she wrote that she was “entering the new era of joy.”
She also posted an image of a rainbow flag and a heart.
She also posted a carousel of photos featuring herself and her girlfriend, Anna Blundell.
In one of the images, a Greek poet known as Sappho is seen holding a woman while they kiss.
Her post has received a lot of positive feedback.
One of the comments on her post said that it was a win for the girls, while another noted that it happened on the weekend of Streep’s 75th birthday.
Ariana DeBose, an actress who won an Oscar, also posted a message saying that it was an iconic moment.
Jacobson, who plays the role of Marian Brook in the show, is the youngest child of Don Gummer and Streep.
