Parents Charged After Their Three-Year-Old Son Was Brutally Mauled to Death by Dog

Daniel Twigg, who was three years old, died after he was attacked by a dog on a farm in Rochdale.

His parents, Mark and Joanne Bedford, 42 and 36, respectively, have been charged with negligent manslaughter. They will appear at a later date.

According to the police, Daniel was attacked by the dog in the garden on May 15.

He was taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital, where he later died.

Several dogs were seized from the property, and one of them, a mastiff called a Cane Corso, was euthanized.

Daniel’s family released a statement through the police, describing him as a kind and caring child who was loved by everyone who knew him.
