He also stated that he appreciated the kindness shown to his family.

“There are too many people who have supported me to thank just now. To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness toward my family.”

Baldwin was facing charges after Halyna Hutchins, a cinematographer, died during the making of the movie Rust in October 2021.

The incident caused the director, Joel Souza, to get injured.

Baldwin was not guilty of the charge and was expected to face up to 18 months in jail if he was found guilty.

His trial started on July 10 in New Mexico.

After three days of hearings, the judge overseeing the case decided to drop the case due to prejudice.

The case was dismissed after his lawyers argued that the prosecutors had failed to disclose crucial evidence.

Luke Nikas, one of the actor’s lawyers, claimed that the state had hidden proof that would prove how live ammunition was brought to the set.
