Aanvi Kamdar, a travel influencer, died after she fell from a waterfall in India. She was 27 years old.
She was with seven of her friends when the incident happened on July 16 at the Kumbhe waterfall, which is about 80 miles from Mumbai.
According to reports, she might have fallen while filming an Instagram video.
According to a rescuer, Aanvi fell about 300 feet into a slippery patch of rocks. She was initially not spotted by the rescuers.
Due to the challenging terrain and heavy rains, multiple teams were deployed to save her. It took them about six hours to reach her.
She was immediately taken to a government hospital in Mangaon Taluka. Although she was initially responsive, she eventually died due to her injuries.
Aanvi was known for sharing her travel tips and had over 291,000 followers on Instagram.
On July 15, she featured some of her favorite places in India during the monsoon season in her post.
A day before her death, Aanvi shared a sentimental post about her first collaboration trip to India, which was to Ladakh, at the age of 20.
She said it was an overwhelming experience and that her father was in a celebratory mood due to how it was always on their list.
She reminisced about her first trip to India and how it was an overwhelming experience.
She said the hotel and the arrangements weren’t ideal, and the event that they were invited to wasn’t organized properly.
However, after viewing the photos from the trip, she realized how amazing it was.
In her post, Aanvi shared how her parents did not ask questions about her first trip to India.
She said it was the best five days of her life. Her fans paid tribute to her by remembering her positive personality and how she lived her short life.
One of her followers wrote: “Rest in Peace Aanvi, the world will miss you, but your energy will live on.”
