Unfortunately, their trip to the theme park was delayed due to a simple mistake.

A week before the family was supposed to leave for Disney World in Florida, they learned that the gift cards had been purchased for the streaming service Disney+ instead of the parks.

According to Coston, his parents were furious, and the kids were worried that they might not be able to visit the theme park due to the mistake.

@aofthecoast Do I have a story for you! PLEASE HELP! Note that the purchaser is not familiar with Disney Plus and did not know the difference! Honest mistake. It is not about the funding of the trip. It is about finding someone who can help us transfer the money into the correct gift card so we can make it to Disney! @Disney Parks @Disney+ @Disney #ohno #fail #disney #disneyworld #disneyplus #disneyfail #help ♬ Oh No – Kreepa

According to Coston, the family could afford to spend $10,000 on the streaming service for over 70 years.

In a series of follow-up videos, the social worker noted that his parents don’t use streaming services.

She stated that her parents made the mistake because they didn’t realize that the gift cards were for the streaming service until they had scratched the numbers off the cards.

This meant that they couldn’t return them to Sam’s Club. Several commenters noted that the Disney+ gift cards aren’t transferable to the parks.

Through his family’s connections with Disney workers, Coston was able to convert the gift cards into a pair of gift cards that would work properly during their trip to Florida.

He expressed his gratitude for the company and said he was glad his parents were able to get their situation resolved.

Following the story, many people contacted Coston and told him that they had similar experiences.

He hopes that his story will help other people avoid making the same mistake.
