I’m a Mum and People Think Me and My Son, 19, Are the Same Age

Sarah Reid, 43, said that people often mistake her for her son Damien’s age due to her youthful appearance.

She claimed that she’s asked for ID whenever she shops or gets into bars.

According to her, people assume that she’s Damien’s friend instead of her mother.

She attributes her youthful appearance to her lifestyle, which is free of tobacco and alcohol.

She also refrains from makeup as she has sensitive skin. Moreover, she follows a strict fitness regime, and recalled an encounter with a Subway server who asked her son what his friend wanted.

. She said it can be frustrating because she doesn’t have a driving license and doesn’t usually take out her passport.

She also noted that she avoids using make-up and drinking alcohol due to her sensitive skin.

he revealed that she used to be 20 stone, but when she was nine-months pregnant with Damien, she promised herself that she would run the London Marathon, which shocked her colleagues.

Two and a half years later, Sarah has lost 10 stone. She completed the Marathon in 2008, and has also completed half marathons.

She said that she showed her medal to somebody who doubted her, and it wiped the smile off their face.

Despite suffering from epilepsy, which led to her having brain surgery in 2016, Sarah still maintains a healthy lifestyle.

She attributes her dedication to her routine. She starts her workouts at around an hour and a half before anyone else has gotten up.

She also engages in evening workouts on her stepper while watching a film. She follows a Weight Watchers plan, and she assigns points to various activities to reach a daily target of 18.
