The police department shared an image of the monolith with the caption, “We see a lot of strange things when people hike, but this is the first time we’ve seen this!”

This follows a video that a hiker from Wales captured earlier this year of a strange-looking monolith on top of a hill close to England.

According to reports, the object looked like a UFO. In the video, the hiker, who was identified as Craig Muir, said that he had never seen such an object before.

Other monoliths have also been spotted in Romania, Belgium, and the Isle of Wight.

One of the massive rock formations was spotted by wildlife workers in November 2020 in Utah.

It was around 10 to 12 feet tall. According to Bret Hutchings, a helicopter pilot, the object was the most unusual thing he had seen in his career.

At that time, authorities noted that the object was located in a remote area and did not have an apparent explanation as to its placement.

Then, a week later, another mysterious monolith was spotted in California.

This time, it was in Atascadero, which is located north of Los Angeles.

It’s not clear who placed the massive rock formations.

A collective in New Mexico claimed to have been responsible years ago.
