Minaj’s fury was sparked by Newsom’s recent comments on trans competitors in women’s sports, in which he said he wants to ‘see trans kids’. The rapper hit back, accusing Newsom of being out of touch with reality and more concerned with his own image. ‘Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids,’ she wrote. ‘Not even a trans ADULT would run on that.
