Just hours before he died, Richard Simmons shared a message from the 1964 musical “Funny Girl.”
The 76-year-old fitness expert, who built a successful empire that encouraged people to eat healthily and exercise, passed away at his home in California due to natural causes.
The last social media post that Richard made was on July 13.
He captioned a picture of himself with the message, “Hello gorgeous!”
The post immediately drew reactions from his followers.
One of them said that the message was inappropriate.
One of his followers commented on the post, saying that it was very unsettling as it occurred just a few hours before he passed away.
Another person said that it might have been his way of saying goodbye.
Tom Estey, his publicist, confirmed Simmons’ death in an email to the Associated Press.
