For college students Zara Hull and Kaylie Pitzer, who were vacationing in Mexico with their boyfriends, their trip to the resort town of Cancun turned into a nightmare.

According to Pitzer, they believe they were drugged. Their entire experience began after they drank at the resort’s pool and then everything went dark.

According to Pitzer, the last memory she had of the trip was when she walked into the pool. She and Hull were then knocked out.

Unable to talk or walk, they needed to use wheelchairs to get to their rooms. The next day, Pitzer said she felt sick and couldn’t move.

She was the lucky one, as Hull was rushed to the hospital. She said that she started experiencing convulsions, and her family called 911.

Pitzer noted that the frightening moments were often accompanied by the thought of dying. Upon their return to the US, Pitzer’s mother had her body checked.

According to doctors, the women may have been given synthetic fentanyl in their drinks.

The students from Oklahoma Christian University were told by the US Embassy to leave Mexico as they were worried about Hull’s health, but it was reportedly easier said than done.

The Daily Mail in the UK claimed that both were dangerously sick, and the hospital would not let them go without being paid for their treatment.

The cost of an air ambulance to transport Hull to the U.S. was around $26,000.

According to her family, they were told that they would have to pay before she could be released.

The hospitals in the U.S. would not accept her without the necessary documents from Mexico.

According to her uncle, David Snider, the documents that were needed for Hull’s release were not available from Mexico.

The 22-year-old’s recovery will likely take a long time, as her body is too overloaded to properly detox.
