JK Rowling Speaks Out After Boxer Who Failed Gender Test Wins In 46 Seconds

In response to the IOC’s decision to allow Imane Khelif and Lin Yuting, two boxers from Algeria and Taiwan, to participate in the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, philanthropist and author of Harry Potter author Rowling has criticized the organization.

In response to the mixed martial arts event, Rowling questioned the IOC’s decision, stating that it could have resulted in the death of a female boxer.

The author, who is known for her outspoken opinions on the transgender community, also called for an end to the madness.

The disqualification of Yuting from the event resulted in her bronze medal being taken away.

Imane, on the other hand, was removed from the competition after a test revealed that both of them have XY chromosomes.

It’s common for males to have XY chromosomes, while women with Swyer syndrome can also have the same genetic makeup.

The IOC has ignored the ruling of the IBA, and it defended its decision by pointing out that it used regulations from past Olympics to influence the law-making process.

It also noted that all athletes have undergone medical examinations and fulfilled all eligibility requirements.

Australian boxer Caitlyn Parker criticized the IOC’s decision, calling it incredibly dangerous.

She noted that it should be looked into since combat sports are at risk. Yuting’s coach said that the fighter lost her mind after she read the online abuse she received.

The coach then told Yuting to get some sleep and promised to help her fight against the negativity she received.

Rowling’s stance on transgender rights has angered some of her fans, such as Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe, who played the part of Harry Potter in the movies.

In 2020, Emma and Daniel criticized Rowling’s statements about gender identity.

In April, she called out celebrities who supported the transgender community by using platforms to promote their cause.

She stated that she would never forgive Emma and Daniel.
