The Unthinkable Incident
Three adults have been arrested by police in Texas after allegedly locking a six-year-old boy in a tumble dryer as a form of punishment.
The shocking incident came to light when horrified onlookers discovered the child at Hi Tek Washateria in Houston.
The Ordeal
According to police reports, the boy had been trapped inside the machine for over five minutes. The relationship between all parties involved remains unclear, but it’s been reported that all adults responsible for the cruel act have been apprehended.
The Disturbing Details
The child was reportedly upset after losing a bag of crisps and was subsequently thrown into the machine by the adults. When police arrived, they found the child visibly shaking and crying. The adults, identified as Life Ford, 19, Haven Duncan, 20, and Jaqory Gill, 20, refused to let the child out of the dryer until he was able to locate the snacks.
The Police Response
Constable Deputies attempted to detain the suspects, but one of them evaded on foot. When they tried to pursue, a female stepped in front of a deputy and pushed him to block the pursuit. The female was detained and identified as Life Ford. The other male suspect was detained on scene and identified as Haven Duncan, who was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm. A police perimeter was set, and the evading suspect was located and identified as Jaqory Gill.
Consequences Faced by the Suspects
All three suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Haven Duncan has been charged with Child Endangerment and faces a bond set at $10,000.00. Gill faces charges of Evading on Foot and has a bond set at $100.00. Ford was charged with Interfering with the Duties of a Public Servant and has a bond set at $100.00.
The Aftermath
The child was evaluated by EMS and released to a guardian who arrived on the scene. Child Protective Services was contacted and advised of the facts of this case.
